New Wave

Image
Morning brought a wave of despair No air to breathe, I'm drowning in this sea of fears Panic attacks my soul, and no one seems to care Castaway with my pain, my screams, my tears   No island in sight, no plane in the sky I kick and scream, try to swim, stay alive I need a lifesaver, a chance to survive   I cry Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ I cry Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ   A new wave of hope takes hold of my soul White sails of salvation begin to unfold You are here, no more fear, I'll survive   I cry Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ I cry Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ   ............................................................... Kaleidoscope ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaleidoscope ), oh only those who look into one actually experience the wonder of those mutant tiny beads. 'Parents and Children' ('Pais e Filhos'), by Legiao Urbana: And here is how I have translated this song from Brazilian Portuguese into English : Statues and vaults and painted walls No one knows what went on. The Tale of the Office Manager and the Telemarketers

Image
Ana was amazed at how telemarketers never ceased to find a way to a breakthrough. As new strains of a virus, they somehow kept attacking her best put-up defenses. How did they manage to trick her? And what counterattack strategies might Ana's imagination concoct to protect her boss' privacy - and her peace of mind? Ana had tried almost any single evasive, at times drastic, response every time a telemarketer called: 1) She would patiently explain to the telemarketer that the owner was not interested in buying anything due to budget constraints - oh, that would infallibly lead to a debate in which the telemarketer tried to convince her of how vital that product was and how the business owner absolutely needed it to make more money and get more customers! Ana learned very quickly she could not allow herself to be caught in that trap. 2) She would tell the telemarketer that the owner was unavailable – and the telemarketer, of course, would keep calling again and a
