 Queridos Brasileiros e Compatriotas! A Eleição Presidencial será  AMANHÃ!!! E sem cada um de nós, brasileiros,  o Brasil não existiria. A Constituição do Brasil ainda nos concede  a suprema liberdade de VOTAR, para escolher aqueles que vão NOS representar. Se sabemos que nossas decisões hoje  determinam o futuro das próximas gerações,  como subestimarmos o poder do nosso voto?  Cada VOTO, como cada minúscula gota  d' água  nos oceanos, faz com que as ondas se formem e cresçam,   alterando a superfície do planeta. Cada VOTO, como cada pequenino grão de areia  nas praias, desertos ou montanhas, molda as paisagens da Terra. Nosso VOTO é nossa VOZ. Nossa VOZ tem PODER. Poder para transformar o mal em bem, remodelar, reformar, restaurar, preservar, purificar, dignificar, magnificar, glorificar. Nossa VOZ é nosso VOTO. E cada VOTO tem um PODER tremendo. É incrível o que cada cidadão pode fazer por sua nação! Devemos nos orgulhar de ser brasileiros e saber que ainda somos LIVRES!!! Livre

“Passione per Gelato?” (what a title for a blog post!) I don’t blame you for thinking that. After all, this is a bilingual blog in English and Portuguese…  So why Italian now? Well, be patient with me. Keep reading, and you will soon find out where this is leading. I will start this true story from the beginning: Once the pandemic restrictions were eased, we decided that 2022 would be the year to travel to Brazil, my home country. After over five years, my husband and I would, at last, visit my family! A second honeymoon has been on our bucket list for years. And a second honeymoon in Brazil would be even more fabulous! We planned it all for the end of July, and off we flew! Our first night would be at the fancy, world-famous Copacabana Palace. Oh, and luxurious this five-star hotel was: from its intricate architecture to the spa, pool, three restaurants, exquisite food, and attentive staff... all in the details and welcoming little surprises at every corner. Passione per Gelato?” — que título para um post de blog! Não se culpe por pensar isso. Afinal, este é um blog bilíngue em inglês e português… Mas então, por que italiano? Bem, seja paciente comigo. Continue lendo e em breve você descobrirá onde quero chegar. Vou começar esta história verdadeira desde o início: Diminu í das as restrições da pandemia, decidimos que 2022 seria o ano de viajar para o Brasil, meu país natal. Depois de mais de cinco anos, eu e meu marido iríamos, finalmente, visitar minha família! Uma segunda lua de mel consta da nossa lista de desejos há anos. E uma segunda lua de mel no Brasil seria uma coisa ainda mais fabulosa! Planejamos tudo para o final de julho, e lá fomos nós a jato! Nossa primeira noite seria no sofisticado e mundialmente famoso Copacabana Palace. Ah, e como era luxuoso este hotel cinco estrelas: da intricada arquitetura ao spa, piscina, três restaurantes, comida requintada e funcionários atenciosos — todos os detalhes e pequenas surpresas acolhedo

  Transbordante gratidão, jorrando ... Além da medida da razão Que a emergente temporada de Ação de graças Encontre-me de joelhos, adorando ...       E de onde vem esta fonte cristalina Que meu coração enche e minh’alma inunda? Borbulha dos riachos do mundo? Não! Flui de uma montanha mais acima!       A montanha, a fonte, é Cristo A água, o rio, é Cristo A rima, o poema, é Cristo   Eu, agradecidamente inundada por Cristo!

  Overflowing gratitude, pouring... Beyond measure of reason May the emergent Thanksgiving season Find me on bended knees, adoring...   And whence does spring this crystalline fountain Which my heart fills and my soul floods? Does it bubble from the brooks of the world? No! It flows from a much higher mountain!   The mountain, the fountain is Christ The water, the river, is Christ The rhyme the poem is Christ   I am thankfully flooded with Christ!  

Today is our wedding anniversary! A perfect occasion to express in imperfect verses All that you are, my husband, to me.   Knight in shining armor, Protector, king, warrior, Heart of courage that always rises up! Your steadfastness overcomes fear.   Twelve years of imperfect humanity... Yet, we ride in perfect synchrony. For, above and within, there is One Who binds us in equally-yoked-unity!   Joy and laughter in the mountains... Unavoidable valleys of tears... Far and near, through and through You for me, my love, and I for you!!!
